Massachusetts government leaders sought to establish a $130M AI Hub to drive innovation through research, workforce development, and responsible AI adoption. The initiative required an infrastructure provider capable of delivering advanced technology while fostering partnerships across government, academia, and industry. Dell Technologies possessed the expertise for a winning solution but needed to gain access and demonstrate alignment with the hub's core values and mission.

The Solution

The Suffolk Group helped Dell establish vendor relationships meeting Commonwealth requirements for sustainable, high-performance computing resources. A key part of the strategy was securing Dell's appointment to the Massachusetts AI Strategic Task Force, granting insider perspective on security, governance, and support priorities. Following the task force's recommendations, efforts emphasized Dell's broader commitment to Massachusetts beyond the AI Hub initiative.

The Result

The Commonwealth selected Dell's locally engineered infrastructure as the foundational AI platform for the Massachusetts AI Hub — a decision reflecting confidence in local manufacturing, support, and a history of innovation in complex IT solutions. The deployment represented one of the largest state-level AI infrastructure awards nationally.
